Fire & Law Enforcement
BCEMS is assisted and works closely on many of these calls by both Fire and Law Enforcement agencies who respond as First Responders. BCEMS also provides medical support for Fire and Law Enforcement agencies including Tactical Paramedics for the Bay County Sheriff's SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) Team and the Sheriff's K-9 unit.
In addition, BCEMS operates several Special Operations teams, including a Bicycle Medical response team, a Mass Casualty Incident response team and is on-call throughout the southeast U.S in cooperation with the Florida State Emergency Response Team.
BCEMS also medically supports several special events throughout the year including First Friday in Panama City, The Gulf Coast Triathlon, the Ironman Triathlon, high school Varsity football games and many other events.
