CRS report available
Bay County's annual Community Rating System (CRS) Progress Report is available online for download. The report discusses the primary causes of flooding in Bay County and provides historical data regarding heavy rain or tropical weather events. It also covers measures the county takes to prevent flood damage and losses through floodplain management and stormwater drainage management. Bay County's participation in the federal program helps residents in unincorporated Bay County receive discounts on flood insurance premiums. The county's current CRS rating of "5" provides a 25-percent annual discount to flood insurance policy holders.
